Hello, PixelHost players! 🌟

We know that playing on modded servers is super fun, but it can also be a headache 🧠 when the mods don’t match between your game and the server. 😩 Here’s how to fix those annoying "Mismatched Mod Channels" errors and get back to the action.

What is the "Mismatched Mod Channels" Error? 🤔

This error occurs when the mods or their versions don’t match between the server and your game. It can be caused by:

  • Missing mods.

  • Different versions of the mods.

  • Using an incorrect version of the modpack.

Steps to Fix the Error 🚀

Step 1: Download and Install FileZilla 📂

  1. Download and install FileZilla.

  2. Log in to your PixelHost server panel and go to the FTP File Access section.

  3. Copy the login information.

Step 2: Connect to Your Server 🖥️

  1. Open FileZilla and paste the login details 📜.

  2. Click on Quickconnect and accept any pop-up messages.

Step 3: Manage Your Mod Files 🗃️

  1. In FileZilla, locate the mods folder on your server.

  2. Drag and drop the mods folder to your desktop to download it.

  3. Open the mods folder of your launcher on your PC.

  4. Delete all mods from the launcher’s mods folder.

  5. Copy the mods downloaded from the server to the launcher’s mods folder.

  6. Start the game and check that it loads correctly.

Fixing the Issue in a Modpack 🔄

  1. Log in to the server panel, select your server, and stop it.

  2. Go to FTP File Access and delete the jar and mods files.

  3. Reinstall the modpack in your launcher with the latest version.

  4. Try joining the server.

Common Problems and Solutions 🛠️

Unable to Join the Minecraft Server

Sometimes, you might resolve the mismatched mods error but still can’t join. This could be due to additional mods on the server or configuration conflicts. Contact support if this happens.

Unable to Use FileZilla

Issues with FileZilla are common and usually stem from invalid credentials. Make sure you’re using the correct password and check that your firewall isn’t blocking the FTP connection.

And that’s it! 🎉 You should now be able to play on your modded server without any issues. We hope this guide has been helpful, and remember, don’t hesitate to ask in the PixelHost Discord or contact our support team.Follow us on Twitter (@PixelProHosting) to stay up to date.
