Hello, PixelHost Community! 👋
🛡️ Protect Your Minecraft World with WorldGuard! 🛡️
When hosting and playing on a Minecraft server, adding protection is essential. After spending hours on a build, having someone destroy it can ruin your desire to play and have fun. Fortunately, WorldGuard, a Minecraft plugin, allows you to create protective regions throughout your world. These regions can be customized to prevent block placement, chest interaction, and much more. If that’s not enough, various "flags" can be used to prevent vine growth, leaf decay, and many more options for aesthetic builds. Adding plugins is easy with our PixelHost panel, so we’ve created this tutorial to help you get started.
WorldGuard Features 🌟
Create zones in your world that only allow specific players to build.
Set global rules to modify regeneration, TNT, mob spawning, and more.
Block certain blocks and items to prevent their use.
Generate important statistics and information about your server.
Add useful commands like /stopfire.
Protect against common griefing methods, including fire and crop trampling.
Modify block interactions to stop growth, ice melting, and more.

How to Use WorldGuard
You can check out the following guide, which will explain how to use WorldGuard in depth: How to Protect Areas with WorldGuard.
In the meantime, here are some basic commands to get you started with the plugin!
Notable Commands 💡
/region: The base command for regions, allows you to see all region-based commands.
/region define: Creates a region using the selection defined in your world.
/region info: Provides information and the ability to modify a selected region.
/region list: Lists all created regions, including the global region.
/region remove: Deletes an existing region from your world.
/region redefine: Moves the selected region to the newly defined selection in your world.
/region flags: Displays an interactive list to toggle or modify region flags.
Conclusion 🏁
Now you know how to install WorldGuard and create your first region. These areas are so customizable that there’s an option for almost every occasion. WorldGuard and WorldEdit are two of the oldest plugins, but their use has persisted over the years. While most server owners use them to protect arenas, spawn points, and more, there are many other possibilities. Create frozen ice sculptures forever, disable crop trampling, and never worry about overgrown vines again. With all these options, the best way to start is to jump in and experiment until you find your perfect setup. With that in mind, join your Minecraft server and start experimenting with WorldGuard regions.
